Guess what? My first book ‘Get Smashed – The Story Of The Men Who Made The Ads That Changed Our Lives’ is being adapted into a TV documentary for Sky Atlantic. It is being produced by Ridley Scott’s company, RSA, where I am currently working as writer and associate producer on the project. It is exciting and I will reveal more information soon.

My new column: slagging off TV for a worthy cause

I am The Big Issue’s new TV columnist. The column starts next week, in the issue out 16th January. It is called Don’t Watch That, Watch This. It will identify the stuff that is undeservingly overhyped elsewhere while recommending some gems that are really worth going out of your way to watch. The first column is about why Boardwalk Empire is awesome and Sherlock is a load of shite. Get it from a homeless person next Tuesday!

It’s been a momentous years for the celebrity news game what with superinjunctions, phone hacking and all the rest of it. I made a doc on the subject for BBC Three in the summer but the whole thing has moved on again since then. The Guardian asked me to write a reviewof the stuff that’s happened in 2011 and what might happen next. So I did. And you can read it all here…

I appeared as a guest on ESPN’s Talk Of The Terrace last Monday, chatting about the weekend’s football with hosts Nat Coombs and Kelly Cates. The other guests were Norwich keeper John Ruddy and rapper Lethal Bizzle. Wish I had the word ‘lethal’ in my name. All guests have to undergo a Mastermind style quiz at the end. I did mine on FA Cup finals 1980-2000. And guess what? I GOT EVERY SINGLE ANSWER RIGHT! 13 out of 13. It was the proudest moment of my entire life. Watch a bit of my chatter here

I’ve been hosting The Sports Bar on Talksport this week. We had all the reaction to the Champions League results and that.   Have a look at this month’s marvellous Four Four Two magazine, in which I have written a big piece on the QPR revival. I spent time interviewing the owner Tony Fernandes, captain Joey Barton and manager Neil Warnock and hung out at the training ground to get an insiders view on all the changes over there. The Barton interview alone is worth the £4.50. Among other things, he tells an amazing story about how he converted two muslims in a shopping centre.

The Whistleblowers: football 'chat' by human 'men'

I guest hosted The Whistleblowers football podcast this week in the absence of Mark Webster. It was a Delaney family special, with my big brother Theo (a regular on The Spurs Show) and Uncle Simon joining me as guests. They were great but, frankly, I was rather juvenile and offensive throughout.We talked about England’s Euro 2012 draw, Chelsea’s possible demise, the return of MArtin O’Neil and the rise of Alan ‘Banter King’ Pardew.  Listen here.
