I went to interview Norman Tebbit as part of my research for a new book I’m planning. I visited him at his home in Suffolk. He was charming, erudite and fascinating company. But he didn’t stick to the subjects I was there to talk to him about. He went off piste quite a lot, ranting about UKIP, Europe, gay marriage, the uselessness of the coalition government and loads of other stuff. It was stuff that would be of no use to my book but I thought was very newsworthy so I wrote it up and offered it to the very brilliant Big Issue, who I write a TV column for. They published it today and it got picked up by numerous  nationals such as The Times, The Mail, The Guardian and even my favourite, the Daily Mash

I repeat, there is a CRISIS IN MASCULINITY! Wrap your penis in tin foil and hide under your snooker table. Dianne Abbott MP says we’re doomed. Channel 4 News asked me to tak her on in a HEATED DEBATE on the matter last Wednesday. I did. It was great. I can’t find a link for you to watch it so you’ll just have to trust me. The best part of the experience? Off air Jon Snow complemented me on my nice tweed jacket. He;s dreamy. The next day, I recorded a thing for the BBC World Service’s Weekend show on the same subject. Barry From Watford is the brilliant creation of Alex Lowe, a brilliant comedy actor. Last night I appeared as a guest on his live chat show at the Soho theatre. He was funny, I just answered questions about sport mostly. The other guest was Guy Pratt from Pink Floyd. It was being filmed as a TV pilot for Baby Cow productions. I enjoyed it. My brother was in the audience. We got drunk after.

Week before last I was hosting afternoons on the mighty BBC London 94.9fm. I fill in for Robert Elms when he’s away. It is great fun. And it was at its funnest when Joan Collins came into the studio to talk about her new one-woman show. She was lovely. Look at the electricity that crackled between us. It’s obvious, isn’t it?

Haven’t put anything up on here for a while. Yeah, I bet you log on every day just to check what I’ve been up to, right? What? You’ve never been here before and couldn’t give a flying fuck either way? Well, fair enough I suppose. Here’s a picture with me from a couple of weeks back when I was hosting the afternoon show on talkSPORT and Hollywood movie star Gerard Butler came in for a chat. He’s dreamy, I’m sure you’ll agree. And that in the middle is co-host Andy Jacobs – the often angry but nevertheless brilliant footballing soothsayer.

Do you own a radio? Maybe one similar that carried by Radio Raheem in Spike Lee’s racially-tense movie, Do The Right Thing (above)? Or maybe just a nice old Roberts. Whatever kind of radio it is, you can listen to me on it regularly over the coming weeks. From the 4th Feb right through to the 15th Feb I’ll be co-hosting the afternoon show on national sports radio station talkSPORT with Paul Hawksbee. Paul is funny so it’s worth listening to even if you hate me. From 26th Feb to the 6th March I’ll be hosting the afternoon show on BBC London 94.9 all on my own from 1-4pm every weekday.
